Holiday, Or Christmas

It's the Holidays, or that's at least what I call it. So I have to do this. Should people run around saying Merry Chrismas, or Happy Hollidays. I believe it should be Happy Holidays for those who don't celebrate Christmas.

Well they all have the right to celbrate whatever they want but personoly i think it should be merry christmas.

But isn't that a little ignorant. I mean someone could take it as you saying your holiday, beliefs are better, and more important. It like you trying to cover up their holiday at least with happy holidays everyone is included.

Well what  if you dont know they dont celebrate christmas? What are you supposed to do ask them what they celbrate? "Oh your cathlic merry chritmas"  "oh, your jewish happy hannukah"  "Oh your atheist, well have a nice day"

Exctly that why we should use happy holiday so no one get offended

While I do respect that other people celebrate different holidays, I don't see why it offends them when other people say "Merry Christmas". We have a thing called freedom of speech and expression here in America and if I want to say Merry Christmas and spread some cheer, I'm going to. It's not like we're forcing it. I wouldn't be offended if someone said "Happy Haunnikah to me. I think people need to get over themselves and realize that people have the right to celebrate what they want.

Well maybe you wouldn't be offended, but what about others who aren't so easy going. I'm just saying you could run into a person who could get violent if you say Merry Christmas. That is why Happy Holiday is safer, and less offensive.

I dont think any one would get violent and attack me if i said merry christmas. its not like im saying merry christmas your holiday sucks. If you said merry christmas to a jewish person they would problly say thank you but i celbrate hannuaka.
