I like debates, and this is a touchy topic so don't kill me. I am pro abortion before brain wave start, because then you not killing. You can only kill when there is life, and no brain wave means no life.

I was actually gonna start this one, but you beat me to it :P

Either way, I'm Pro Life. I see what you're getting at, but that cluster of cells has the potential to be a living, breathing human being. He or She has the potential to become something great in life. Possibly the next President of the United States, or the person to find life existing in other parts of the universe. Hell, they could even be the person to find a cure to some deadly disease. Don't you like living? The beautiful scenery? Happiness? Love? That little 'cluster of cells' wouldn't be able to experience any of that if you were to take away it's infinite potential.

Ok let me turn that around what happens if he would become a rapist, or a killer. He could become a president that turns our great contry into a dictatorship. So it could go either way, and I still say you can't take what isn't there

Yes, but either way, you can never know. They could have very well have thought that for us, for all we know. Technically, it IS there. It's a cluster of cells, all of which LIVE. It is a LIVING BEING. :P

Life is defined as being able to sustain its self, but the cluster cells can't. So they're not alive yet. I also think that most people who abort can't handle one so it will just die later, but more painfully.

K. Abortion isn't the only option. There is adoption. Before you say it ruins a child's life, a lot of times it doesn't. There are perfectly good people out there looking for babies and kids to adopt. If someone gets pregnant, they should be ready to take on the responsibility.

Agreed Ed, and to put my two cents in here..  I believe that life begins at the time of conception. Yes the cells according to the scientific definition may not be alive, but they are creating a life. Why would you deny someone the right to life? If you don't want the responsibility of a child then there's a simple solution. Wear a condom or don't have sex until you're ready for that commitment.

I agree with Ed and Melivn.  There is other answers, and they are better solutions.  Their main argument is that everyone has a choice.  I their mom had chosen to get an abortion, they wouldn't be here.  I saw a saying, and it says "Choose life, you mom did."  And that's SO true!
