She looked briefly down at the floor and then back up at Maya. "I was a foreign exchange student here, I was ready to leave the day after the virus hit. My host family got attack, so that ended my plans." She wiped a single tear from her eye, she missed her host family greatly. They had almost been her family for the two years she had been in America.
